Monotone (Sonic 3 + Pale Cocoon o_O)

Ignore the gay song title.

This video was put together this last weekend to help me keep my sanity. I actually think it's one of the best I've put together, though I've been known to make mistakes about what my "best" videos are, so you can take that at face value if you wish. The song is a remix of the tune playing in Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3, so if you recognize the song that's probably where you've heard it before.

Anyway, enjoy, and I appreciate all forms of constructive feedback!

Quantity and quality?

EDIT : And the verdict is :

The first half was quantity. Lots (too many?) of effects, often synched on beats I would not have chosen to focus on myself. And the pulse stuff, though appropriate for the song, wasn't really for the anime. All in all, it kinda seemed like an MEP segment, in that it lacked a soul of it's own.

The second half was quality. The editing just got awesome around the book-falling scene, and didn't let up. Like, Galaxy Bounce awesome. The effects got more creative, the mood suddenly made itself visible, and I just really enjoyed it. It makes it hard to not to like the vid when the final act is this good

uh...that was interesting. o.O Much different from your previous vids, and I liked the song choice. It was interesting to see how you did with out lyrics in the song. Cons? Too many pulse effects. My eyes were getting sore after some of them. In the very beginning when they were really heavy. Other wise, it was interesting to watch. I enjoyed it. =]

Funny that you do an instrumental vid now, now Bauzi and Greg have to do one too

I'll tell you what i think in an op later, at first sight, it was definately more of an artistic video - as mentioned in the video profile (i have to read that through too).
Oh, the outro didn't match the whole atmosphere "visually" - as i see it. I felt that i didn't have to know that the song was from that game, it somehow ruins the outro. Oh well, op later as i said

Eh, well that part was done mainly because I entered this into inthesto's VG music appreciation contest. I still like it :/
