Here Comes Totoro

Post by obh04 » Sat Jan 27, 2007 6:59 pm

This has to my favorite video that I have done.
I was working on a Samurai X video and I got tired of the blood, and I wanted to make a nice, "cute," and simple video.
The song is Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles.
The anime I used was My Neighbor Totoro. I got the footage from the R2 DVDs.
There is a XviD and a H.264 version ready for download.

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it.

Almost forgot the link
Here Comes Totoro.

Here is the H.264 version.

That was really cute and happy, I enjoyed it. It wasn't Gods gift to amv's, but it was simple and nice to watch. The images connected in funny ways and it had very good mood sync.

I did think the ending was a bit sudden and you need to deinterlace the footage.

Overall, I'm glad I gave this one a chance, it brightened up my day.
"Hello, Rabbit," he said, "is that you?"
"Let's pretend it's not," said Rabbit, "and see what happens."

It was de-interlaced. Every time I have seen it on my computer's it looked fine. So, I am not sure why it would have looked like that for you.

It had a good mood to it, but could have been edited a little better. Sounded very cut off at the end. Not a very great conclusion. Plus there is a deinterlacing problem going on. Good Idea for an amv, just needs to have a little more effort thrown in.

2.5/5

Again, I have not seen any problems with interlacing. If it was not a good conclusion, then what would have been better? Also what problems are there with the editing?

Well made i like it, needed to watch it 2 times in a row because it was so good, it brings forth the happy thoughts.

It was a good movie, that's the way to go.
I find it kind of funny, i find it kind of sad, the dream in which i'm dying is the best i ever had...

i have to agree... wheres the interlacing? i saw lots of grain, but no interlacing (maybe some "jaggedy edges on some of th elines, but it didnt look like interlacing to me)

I wanted to use more of the song, but I really could not do much more with what I had left of my footage.

freddy12354 and JaddziaDax, thanks for the comment.
