Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I don't know why you kept editing in this quality.
Sorry about that. That sucks that quality is that important to you. Honestly there are WAY worse quality vids. It's a long story as to why the quality suffered, to put it short:

It was either synch or quality. I picked synch.
Admittedly, the video quality does need some improvement. However, the overall video itself was pretty good.

Also, although I was too young to remember most of the 80's, it would be interesting to see more videos that use songs from that era. Smile

The quality did take a hit with saving as a WMV before, a little rough around some edges and at its worse when the Alter lights are on screen you could see pixelation, but I also don't think it was that bad.

Thanks for the comments.

much splotchyness wiggledude :(
but that's already been mentioned, did you use msmooth or something? it has done that to me before.
I liked the sync/scene selection in this bit 1:34 - 1:50, but I was dissapointed with the rest, you have a good idea/concept it just needs a lot of re-work this looks like a beta not a final because of that.
I'm not trying to be nasty at all, just honnest so please don't take offence
If you'd like I'll beta your next vid?

I don't do Betas since I just use WMM, but I don't mind the honest feedback. Funny that part is your favorite part...that's probably like my least. Ha, oh well.

Good, smooth video. As everyone mentioned, there were quality issues. I've seen worse though.

Sync > Video Quality.

WMM, I've seen some good stuff (and a lot of crap) come from people using that program.
a while ago sweetdeily did a wmm s-cry-ed vid and her vis quality went a little bit worse than yours 'cause she compressed lossy before editing. but it looks like you went the the trouble to encode avi afterwards. is this what happened to yours?
I think I shold go back to wmm and make a super clean vis qual vid just to :P at the poo pooers out there. Some people will laugh, but the last vid I made using wmm i was exipirimenting on, encoded to xvid(lossy) re-imported half of the project when wmm crapped itself and I only then started using avi-synth to clean stuff. I gotta say the visual quality pretty fooking good, better than anything I had done before, esp considering how much I mangled the sources and how many editing "rules" I broke. So I know it can be done, if one puts thier mind to it.
