Also, as for capturing video game footage, I have a game shark equivelent for that. ;P

I think you should invest in it. I don't ever use it to beat the game the first time, but I use it for capturing stuff. Level 99, infinite health and/or money, reeeeeally speeds up play time.

Also planning ahead and saving a different file before every cinema helps. XD

Decoy: I demand you get on Skype more. I haven't talked to you in forever! WHERE ARE YOU?! D:

It hasn't rained here. I need your rain dance magic with kojoogoo and a digeridoo.

The first amv I ever saw was "Kung Fu Fighting" by Paladine. Crappy quality. Crappy sound. It was kind of sketchy and it skipped a lot but I loved every minute of it :D I thought that was the coolest thing I had ever seen before and then I tried it. I went nearly a whole year before I even showed them to anyone other then my friend (and former partner) Patrick aka Pacman121.

I love it though. Even when I thought about giving it up, and there were more then a few times, something always pulled me back to give it another shot.

This is probably something like my 9th or 10th year now and I can't say that I'm as obsessed as I used to be. I spend the first 4/5 years simply observing, reviewing and planning and have now been slowly churning out 1 video a year which nobody really watches. Anyway it keeps getting harder and harder to make new stuff over time since you've pretty much seen a lot of ideas which have already been done. I'm pretty psyched about the idea I have now though, I'm hoping it will turn out as original as I'm planning it to be...

Wow! That's a long time. Congrats! :D I've found that when I first started out I was producing a lot more but I always had a good response so I continued. Over the years I've slowed down a lot. 2005 was my slowest year. I only cranked out too and they were not as good as they should have been. I decided to correct that last year. I think you were on the right track though with observing, watching and your right, it does get harder and harder every year. My thing is I do what I want to do and don't worry about what people say. The current trends of amv's don't worry me. I do a video the way I like and if people have something nice to say, I listen. If people have criticism and do it in a intelligent manner, I listen. If people act like a fool and say a ridiculous comment, I ignore. That just goes with the terriotory though. Despite all of it, I do love it and try to do my best.
