Homepage should redirect to member's page if logged in

Post by Shazzy » Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:51 pm

Also: you're logged out, you click a download link to a video, the site asks you to log in, it takes you the member's page instead of the video you previously tried to download.

Depending on how elegant the PHP setup is, the second change could be simple or a real bitch. But there it is.

thank you for contributing nothing yet again.

Shazzy, I've noticed the same thing or a while. Best bet is to stay logged in and/or have your browser remember your info so you log in (almost) automatically. The redirect thing is a bitch though o.o;;

When I get sent to the member page I use the Back button to return to the vid page and try the link again (now logged in). It's an extra click, but it's not really hard to return to the vid page. Unless the back buttons on firefox and opera aren't as simple to use as the one on IE. I think the last time I used Opera it wouldn't let me "right-click" on the Back button and *choose* which page to return to - it made me click back through every single one till I got to the right page. But, yeah, just another reason to use IE. User-friendly back button.

So...while you're waiting for that glitch to be added to the to-do-list, you can use IE. That would be funny. :P

Use IE? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Any decent browser lets you choose what page to go back to... usually through a little arrow to the side of the back button.

Alot of people use Firefox and Opera since they have more features ^_^

Thats sounds like a good ideal to have it redirect you to the video
you were trying to download when you werent logged in.
That would be cool if they could add that feature
There are times when i click on a local link myself and forget im not logged in ^^:

Internet Explorer is a web browser, Firefox is a DIFFERENT web browser, and Opera is YET ANOTHER DIFFERENT web browser. They''re not the same thing at all.
