Ya know, QCs being anonymous really isn't the cause of bad comments. There are some who don't really give a damn if it's known they're the one who said something.

i know you would continue to insult videos even if people knew who you were... heck most people can pinpoint one of your QCs from a mile away just by the smell O.o so yea...

i just needed a reason today to use the phrase chicken ass and this guy gave me a reason...

if QCs werent annon id still be saying the same things i do now... O.o

Nay, mine are boring. And lately, I haven't even had the time to do proper QCs let alone leave an Opinion on a video. In fact, I haven't gotten any QCs since December 20, 2006.

I think that would exacerbate the problem. If people didn't post their qcs for others to see, the flamers would never know if they struck a nerve, the comedians would never get their laugh, and there would be no attention drawn to the people leaving qcs for attention.

A lot of the time that "ignore them and they'll go away" thing doesn't work. With QCs it does. If you don't react by complaining in your journal or in the forum, the person gets nothing to show for his hateful comment. He doesn't even know if you *read* the comment. Unless he's just doing it out of random boredom, he'll have no reason to continue leaving such comments. If you don't like the troll, don't feed him. Give him his own stickie and you'll just have another rash of comedic flames like the last 3-4 page QC thread we had. QCs are private for a reason.

The only QCs that need a response are the obligatory "couldn't play the file" ones, and that's pointless anyway since you know those people don't read journals. They don't even read vid descriptions or the text under the QC box that says annonymous. So even with those, there's no reason to share them or respond to them.
