Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Title: Sword Strike: Steel Collision
Editor: Fizziks
Anime: The Animatrix, Bleach, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, KARAS: The Prophecy, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Music Artist: Pendulum
Music Titles: Slam, Tarantula, Plastic World, Hold Your Colour
Link: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=135890

Showcasing the swordsmanship of several well known (and not well known) anime characters, get ready to see sparks fly!

My intention with this AMV is to use different editing techniques, styles, and pacing for each music track/segment, in an attempt to (somewhat) mimic the feel of a multi-editor project.

I have divided up this video into four segments based on the music tracks used:
Segment 1: Slam (from 0:00 to 1:03)
Segment 2: Tarantula (from 1:04 to 1:47)
Segment 3: Plastic World (from 1:48 to 2:34)
Segment 4: Hold Your Colour (from 2:35 to 4:00)

So without further ado, I present to you Sword Strike: Steel Collision!

Special thanks to Clamp-X and Stolen Soul for beta testing this AMV.

Cool video, Fizziks. The video sources are all fairly different, but I think you did a good job putting them all together. Nice job :)

Thanks! I'd like to think that I learned something about making AMVs these past several months. :) Oh, and thanks for the op as well.

Well, I have to give credit to Clamp-X for giving me the avisynth script that helped clean up my footage a lot.
