Big Problem........ [can't mix different episodes]

Post by jmoneyg » Tue Dec 26, 2006 1:09 am

i am trying to make a Naruto AMV. i have made four successfully, but had the same problem then.

now the problem is that i have all the episodes on my computer, but when i put them into movie maker, they go in, but i cant mix together clips fom episodes 1-63 with episodes 64-134. if i do one or the other will turn green.

i know this sounds like a small problem but i am working on an amv that seems to be my best one yet, and it keeps acting stupid. HELP!!!!!!

right click on the file select properties then go to the summary tab.

or you could tell us your encode settings from Vdub (if you used it) or other progam.

I'm sure there are other ways too.

like by getting Gspot (click the gspot pick in my sig)

Windows can be finniky as to what properties it will/won't tell you.
Gspot gives you the information by just dragging your video file and dropping it into the program window

I'm going to assume that the earlier episodes were encoded differently than the latter ones; either different settings, or different encoder (i.e. DivX 4/5 then XviD). And WMM is decoding some of them wrong by using the same (incorrect) settings. This is why the guides recommend converting episodes into lossless clips.
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image

If you decoded right your video and fix the setting in your WMM I think you'll see how it goes? Well sometimes it happen that 2 me too, so that's why I use other program to make my AMV continue working
