  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Breeman's new Trigun AMV

Post by breeman » Sat Dec 16, 2006 3:01 am

Finally, after 5 months of editing, it is complete!

My first real Drama vid, as well as my first Trigun AMV. I'm really pleased with the way this one came out. Also, it's Spoilers, so watch only if you've seen Trigun.

Hourglass is a most excellent band, my good man. I shall check this out Monday. And that's saying something, because I normally avoid spoilers in anime I intend to watch, but it's Hourglass, so I gotta see it.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

I've been looking forward to this for a good while now... I'd seen a good bit of it, but damn. Good stuff, man.

You couldn't have caught me at a better time! :D I'd just posted about being very impressed with Hourglass today - http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... start=2251

Man, this video does exactly the things I consider most difficult in editing - synching of slow, chord-based mood-heavy material; lyric sync to a lot of lyrics that are both specific and vague at various times; synching acoustic guitar; and, well, keeping consistent to a character. For the most part, it does everything really well, although I have to say the lyric sync does seem a bit forced at times and there's a few pacing issues here and there.

Cheers to Hourglass! I know you've had feedback from the band already, they're awesome to say the least. If I ever feel up to the challenge, I might go for an Hourglass AMV myself - I can see how something like this would take a long time!
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

well its been almost 3 weeks since I released this video, and so far only got one opinion (which I had to ask for). I know there were some promised opinions on this thread that never came, so i'm just reminding. Don't want this AMV to go unnoticed since I've gotten nothing but good feedback on it. Thanks for everyone who's watched it and your feedback either on this thread or elsewhere. I dont wanna sound like i'm forcing anyone to leave an opinion, I just don't want people to just leave great feedback but not in the form of an opinion when they said they'd leave an opinion. And quick comments are the easy way out of opinions... nobody sees them but me... (and they dont help my ratings.) stars do though =D
