Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Medicated Moments

There is a mysterious link between "Orestes" by A Perfect Circle and Advent Children.. Yeah, I know, AC is wayyy too over-used, but guess what, I love to edit videos to it

As I said before, the song I used is "Orestes" by A Perfect Circle. So the video is basically one of the million other AC AMVs BUT with a perfect, artistic, unique, beautiful, epic yet peaceful song.. I could lie and say that I tried to get some depth to the characters but that's not really what I did. I just went along the song and chose clips I thought might fit. How original is that! No really, I tried to get some story in it. And went along with certain themes, story-wise and technically. I've had trouble with randomness but I hope I've gotten over it by now.. The song is, as I said, strong yet peaceful, so I tried to use that kind of clips.. Just watch it. You won't regret it.... I hope....

The thing is, it's made as a YouTube video and a YouTube link is what you get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAIfGuf2oyU You won't have to wait for long in order to have this pleasurable-sprt-of YouTube watch.

Don't worry, the quality doesn't look as bad at YouTube as it would look if you downloaded this one (trust me when I say that you don't want to download it. The video quality is poor) but if you really want to leave a proper comment and ratings (=give some constructive feedback and get angsty about the video quality) you can do it here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=133185 It's there, with a beautifully indirect link!

I've read the tech guides so I don't need any "just read these!" -messages.. And I'm getting there! Or at least I know how to use DVD Decrypter, VirtualDub, DGIndex and a little bit of AviSynth as well. Still having some problems though.. You people are awesome! Have fun with watching the video!

No 'just read these' messages until you upload the video locally.

i'm only checking this out because the title interests me.
*goes to click link*

*a minute later*
the first 60 seconds didn't entertain me, so i assume the remaining 3 something minutes won't either

fail.

Hmm, well.. I don't have the talent to keep the viewer watching the video. Or that's what it seems! I hate this.. I've edited more than 20 videos and still can't do it. Damn..

i actually like your humble attitude, so heres some tips
read the guides
don't use youtube hosting. use the org
plan your videos out. i spend a couple of months on a video at least, and probably a week before just writing down ideas.
invest in an editor that allows for more precise timeline editing.
