WIP - Fight Club & Evangelion

Rofl, title is misleading, yes.

Okay, I have two betas. One is for a live-action music video to Fight Club. The other one is an AMV to eva.

To be honest, I only threw the eva one in so I could stay "on topic" in here, but it actually IS a WIP(that I haven't touched in like a year because I'm stuck on what to do with it) but I'd prefer advice on the Fight Club vid.

So.
This is Fight Club set to Micheal Tolcher's "Waiting".
It is ~7mb and inside the rar is a .wmv. I would like advice on how to synch it(there are many different styles of synching in that 1:30 clip), which style of synch might be good for what I'm going for, and basic "You should've put something here" stuff.

Be totally harsh. Have no shame.

The Evangelion video is Death & Rebirth set to Dj encore feat engelina's "Intuition". I don't know where I'm going with it. I've been sitting on it for ever. I think at first it was supposed to just profile all the characters but now I think it's trying to compare and contrast Shinji vs. Rei vs. Asuka...
The stuff I did in here was time consuming and you won't even notice it. I exported stills so I could re-import the footage.

The asuka flashback has no doll in it, and it is just a plan, smooth her gripping her head. The flash when people get killed while Shinji's under the stairs is nonexistant. I may upload those pieces seperately if asked so you can see.

The beta is an XviD, I believe.

I watched the Fight Club video for two reasons:
1. I just saw it for the first time a week ago
2. I'm so sick of Eva videos

Now, I actually can't say I have too much criticism of the beta. It all looks really cool, and I think the song fits the video really well. The first eight seconds are a little hard to follow...there doesn't seem to be much sync and it's...yeah, it's just a little hard to follow. It feels like the scenes change too rapidly.

Other than that the video looks really good. I especially like the portion from 0:28-0:45, I think that's edited really well, especially in context of the movie itself. The whole thing is really, and please let me know when you have it finished because I'm eager to see the final product.

I just reread your post...my suggestion would be to go with the sync style around the portion I mentioned, although I wouldn't do it through the entire video, obviously. But those scenes fit really well with the song, they fit really well with the movie, and I think more synching like that would definitely be a good thing.
