"Lets make babies!"

The first 2 episodes to this series was wildly hilarious, I havn't laughed this much since Haruhi in 1 episode, this might be my new toy for this season. The story somewhat resembles a modern Ranma with comedic elements similar to School rumble. Theres 2 martial arts family that are regarded as the strongest in japan. the 2 fathers end up fighting each other for reasons unexplained, and finding themselves equal in strength, agree to wed their children to each other. (sound familiar ranma fans?)

The thing here, is the girl, Momoko, actually is strong, trained relentlessly to be the best bride on the planet, while the guy, Koushi-dono after a scaring incident in his past, is pretty scared of fighting and quit his training, in favor of becoming the worlds best Criminal prosecutor, and is studying to meet that end.

In the first episode, Momoko is training with her father, and after not being able to fully master the technique, her father explains its because she is a woman, and her only hope is to marry the strongest man on the planet and produce the strongest baby to carry on the family art.

On her first reincounter with Koushi-dono, she totally misreads everything about him and comes to the conclusion that he is still the great Koushidono she has in her fantasies from her childhood (wich she conviniently remembers differently than actually happened) Hence, Momoko now practically stalks Koushi-dono trying to get him to have a baby with her.

Oh and did I mention that Momoko is super cute and a loli? Lots of fanservice in the first episode also

I'm definately following this one for the time being. I hope it can keep up the current momentum for the full series.

The only drawback I see to this show so far, is the somewhat cheesy looking 3D for the succession techniques. Otherwise the actuall animation and character desings are pretty good.

Oh and I posted up a copy of the official 15 sec preview for the show for those who are curious here.

"Gambatte kudasai Koushi-dono! "

Episode 3 was meh, not as good as 1 and 2, but oh man, epsiode 4 is probably the best episode so far in the series. Lots of cute loli moments with momoko and the new girl Iroha, but the best parts of the episode has to be
when Kyoshi dono accidentally hits Iroha (who seems like some kindof ninja clan out to kill him to restore her family name) with a frisby he is playing catch with Momoko with, she comes crashing down, and when he goes to see if shes alright, he totally charms her so she forgets her duty and couldn't even speak, face completely red, she runs off

ImageImage
and then at the end of the episode, after a rather nice public bath scene  oh, and a scene where she takes out a bunch of hoodlums wearing nothing but a bathrobe, and seemingly not caring about the fact that her naked booty is flashing all over the place....
She again renues her vow to kill Kyoshi-dono and sneaks into his room with her sword, but thanks to momoko's cleaver ... uh...brainwashing technique..... things end rather humorously
Next episode looks to be a showdown between Momoko and Iruha.

I'm surprised at this series too.

Resembles Invincible Noodle Waitress Miki to a scary degree, even the art design, though I think the studios are different...

But the pedo look to this anime makes me quiver with guilt...

Firstly, um, Aya Hirano (aka Haruhi Suzumiya) is the Class Rep Sanae Nakajima. Listen to her voice from episode 2 onwards.

Secondly, Koushi's father does the Mikuru Beam attack in episode 1...

Thirdly, "Let's engage in child production" is the most amusing piece of translation this season so far.

That reps voice got turned up a notch from the more pompous and eccentric Haruhi voice we all love to hear...

Very nice multi-dimensional Seiyuu [never would have guessed]

man this series just gets stranger and stranger  Is there one normal character in this series besides the class pres?

Episode 6 layed back on the fanservice, but instead built a bit (yes, just a bit... and inni tiiny bit....) more on momoko and Kyoushi-dono's relationship (if you can call it that......)
He needed it too, after she left him for dead in the previous episode
and man, the loliness in this anime is almost sinful. I mean look at the size of that soccer idiot that likes momoko (who is ever so ignorant to the fact), compared to her.... I don't think this show could ever hit adult swim without raising some brows.

A pink haired girl named Momoko who's going for becoming a bride....

... METHINKS THEY ARE RIPPING OFF WEDDING PEACH HERE.

And Jesus, are her eyes big. Even by anime standards.
