Your LEAST favorite part of making AMVs.

Post by Ojamajo_LimePie » Thu Oct 26, 2006 6:54 pm

While I enjoy making AMVs, there are some parts that I like less than others. I was wondering what part of AMV creating other people dislike/like the least.

The part I'm not fond of is making source footage. I mostly enjoy searching for scenes, but the actual process of ripping and pre-production encoding is rather boring (not to mention time consuming!) :(

I'd have to say my least favorite part is having to look through every episode to find clips to use.
it gets old fast...especially when you have 50 episodes to look through.

I hate making clips. Going through VirtualDubMod takes forever, and the plugin I have that supposedly lets me edit AVS clips in Vegas doesn't seem to work. And neither does makeAVIS. :/

That would be annoying if I was only doing it just for that. But when I know I have to look through everything I just figure I might as well enjoy watching the series in it's entirety. The part that sucks though is having to pause it everytime you see a good scene and then having to write it down. That's what I do.

I watched all 50 episodes of the series prior to starting this amv...so I already got to enjoy it (in fact, this was my second time watching the series, third if you count watching it on [as])

I get bored with an idea very easily, and I tend to lose motivation when preparing footage.
