TO READ BEFORE WATCHING :

Is someone getting the best of you? Yeah. You are.

TO READ AFTER WATCHING :

This is a tribute to the Beautiful Green Beast of Konoha, using a slightly alternate storyline. Basically, (and fans of the series will see the difference in plot), Lee is a hard-worker, motivated by the cheers of his teacher Gai. But he lacks any self-confidence whatsoever. I would go so far as to say his biggest enemy is himself. And that is why in the first fight segment, mirror effects and such have Lee fighting himself. His opponent, Gaara, is not at all seen at first. But when Lee is thrown against a wall and seems helpless, he starts fantasizing about what he could do if only he was stronger. This is sepia Lee, the rival I created. The whole song lyrics are just Lee talking to the Lee he wishes he could be, and “Best of You” can take on many meanings.

Anyway, in Lee’s fantasy, his better self totally dominates Gaara, overcoming great pain and showing huge courage. Again, everything Lee wishes he could do. But motivated by his dream, he charges his opponent, only to get seriously injured, both mentally and physically. The sepia/color comparison continues throughout the AMV, but in the end, I like to think Lee chose the latter over the former. In other words, he accepted who he was, and that is the path to self confidence.

This is my first and last AMV. I only made this because of Lee. He taught me alot, and it’s the least I could do.

I’m quite grateful I found this song. It conveys an amazing amount of energy, which I tried to blend with Lee’s.

The video has been a year and 200 hours in the making, and I’m quite happy it’s done.

Good to see you released it.

You worked hard on this video, and I think it turned out nicely for a first video.

Again, I don't think you should just stop with this one video if you like making them. You were just learning how to edit with this one, so if you put the same amount of effort into a second video, I think it would turn out even better than this one did.

lol I liked this one, well the concept is not so original, but it was well made, and I didn´t know it was your first one O.o, you should make more, since you have talent ^^

I hear you guys, but the real problem, I'll admit, is that unless you're releasing 6 vids a year and you're active on the org, it's almost impossible to make yourself a name in the community. And as much fun as this was for me, I'm really after the fame

That's probably what a lot of people do think inside. And while they still have a slight chance at making it, I don't : I just don't have that much time to give.

If this video is really, and I mean really well received, I might consider getting on a second one, but don't expect it till this time next year.

Sorry if I sounded like a cocky idiot in this post.
