Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

OK this is the amv I´ve made after the Connichi06 and it is a NGE video, with a song, that imo fits very good to the anime. I hope you guys like and will write to me, what you think about it. Have fun with it.

Plz tell me also if you can´t play the amv fluent, because it is in x264 and so on. I´m interrested to it!

And once again: Click the picture above to get to the videoprofil with much more info about it and the download...

I´m realy anoyed, that nobody writes in my threat. Ok in the last threat somebody wrote a little bit, but now :?
Call me frustrated, but it is really frustrating when some crappy vids get more attention than yours. Ok however I´ve a strange reason for pushing my thread up! Hehehe... plz write me comment :(

I´ve discused something with an other user about the intro and my question to you: Do you see hands around 0:20 of the Video? I said to the user there are hands, he means after watching that he still can´t see the hands and so on... So I ask you again: "Do you see hands around 0:20 of the video?"

I just think, they are so big and the fx are not that high used... But how should I know if I only hardly get feedback? :?

I'd just like to point out that the word you want is thread, I think, unless your threatening to kill somebody if they don't post in your thread/t?

I see hands, but your grain filter should have been set on low, or else the scene should have been left in color.

I'd probably have more praise for this video since I like NIN's if the concept hadn't been done already. I felt like there was too much focus on the eva's, and not enough on how fucked every character in the show is. The scenes should have been a bit more warped, either through effects or just a cut/paste to every beat. As it is, it seems a bit too calm to match the feeling of the song. I suppose the best way to put it would be: You treated it like an action video, when to me it screams to be a profile of a mental patient(s).

The quality looks like it was from the original eva dvds, or else it just wasn't cleaned up enough, though I liked the fact that you took the time to use h.264 encoding and a mp4 container.

I'm looking forward to your next amv, definitely an editor with potential.

Though, why not create separate accounts instead of a joint one and use the collaboration system?

Yeah this why I post and read some much in the forum at the moment, because I want to improve my english. So why not having fun when I am learning ^^'
"threat" was a funny mistake

That was a realy big problem at the end of the project, because I simply forgot temporal smothing and never used before. Of course I could changed it (the whole footage were dvd-ripps and only two seperate clips), but the project was VERY instabile in Adobe Premiere Pro (1.5) at the end. There were a lot render mistakes and very bad bugs, that made me sometimes think: "...omg the project died..." I´ve never seen such horrible bugs before. Every codec was dead except... I think it was Cinepack :( I don´t know how, but I solved the problem. There were many such situations... In Any other project I´ve worked with avs worked everything fine and I was very pleased.
Yeah I´ve added the temporal smother in the end output with VDM...
I´ve also tried VBR with h.264, but it didn´t worked good, because there were no clean up, only Lagarith outputs. The filesize went up to 90MB and I think I had problems with playback (well I have a 3,42 GHz and 1 GB RAM system so :( )
I´m thankful, that my Rahxephon DVDs don´t have that much noise :)

I think I´m a fetish who loves grains and things like radio voices in songs.
I don´t know, why... Maybe it is the beauty of chaos :)

Yeah... It all started as a fun project out of my head. I´ve never planned a video so far, but I do it now with the new one. Brainstorming wich scences to use, masks, rotoscopping and so on... and finally match out what will work best with the song and the concept.
In this project I ran out of scences, because of this songs. I´ve cutted the song because at one hand it is to long and on the other hand it ates to much scences. And I know myself... When I am running out of scences, I will not finish the videos, because there are so many ideas in my head, that want to be finished. That is my second weakpoint after planning.
I saw last month what is coming out when I can´t work on because I have no footage and have to wait 3 weeks for it. I´ve worked on the 20 seconds of the amv I had and it was getting better :)
mental patient(s)
The video has for me something schizophrene, because of the fast scence changes and hard cuts.
I'm looking forward to your next amv, definitely an editor with potential.
THX a lot! and of course thank you for your comments!

Our story is a long one... I write the short form^^' Mac is my best friend and anime mentor. He brought the world of animes and mangas to me. We started with very low systems (266 MHz and so on). We where limited to it and to DBZ. Yeah it took years to open up our minds for other anime stuff for amvs -.-' At the beginning we didn´t even know what .rm is and with learned the whole basics ourselves without help and a lot of try outs. He´ve learned things from me and I´ve learned things from him. If we didn´t have each other (sounds a bit gay  ) we were nothing in editing. So we decided to share one account. The whole amvs in our profil are mine and Mac only helped a bit. I hate him, because he makes cool amvs and never finish them. Hope it works in the next time. :)
Would be a kind of blasphemy if I would have an account only for me XD
But who really knows what happens in the future?[/quote]
