Well, I'm 0-for-3 as far as being nominated for anything in Pro. I certainly am not disappointed though, because it would have been a surprise if I was nominated for anything this year. This time, I went for the upbeat angle, but the scenes I chose from the anime I used were pretty much the same scenes everyone else uses when they do a video using the anime I chose. It's a nice upbeat video, but I think it hurt from the "been there, done that, got the tee shirt" angle.
Luckily, how well/poorly it did at AWA Pro doesn't necessarily indicate how well/poorly it does in other contests. "I Am Fullmetal" (my AWA vid from last year) certainly surprised me with the results from some of the cons I submitted that video to. I'm sure other videos from this year will do well in other contests (or in the case of a few videos, already have done well).
As for the other videos, the quality as a whole is just as it was last year, which is a good thing. I only saw one or two "why is this video even *in* this contest?" entries of them all.
This should be fun. I always enjoy AWA regardless of the results.

Since I already outed myself and according to the email voting should have closed two days ago, I will say one thing.
I love how people seem to equate the gif video with the AMVHell 3 segment. Especially considering the only common ground with those two videos is the fact that they used the same clip.
