Just because a con is big doesn't mean it's AMV scene is big. AX has a lot of political BS surrounding its AMV contest, so it's not the best AMV con. Comprende?

Phade has been at Anime Detour all three years. This year he had thousands of amvs on external hard drives and a search program to find ones people requested. Every time he played amvs the room was packed. He also did a couple of panels on amvs.

They had a charity auction at the end of the con. Phade put one of his drives in the auction. It had 2999 amvs on it. It brought the highest bid of any item on the auction, by quite a margine.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

How come he never made an announcement that he was going ANY of the years? Or did I just miss it?

Because he made an announcement the one time he went to AWA.
If he had made any mention of a panel or anything, I would've really tried to go to Anime Detour because I love Phade, and I loved his panel at AWA.

This all stated, how come this thread got more replies than mine, which asks pretty much the exact same question as this one? 0_o
