idea: rivalry

Can I get some examples of two characters who are bitter rivals? Best would be two girls over a guy, but I'm open to other ideas. I have a great song by a local band, and I'd like to consider more ideas that just "Ino and Sakura fight over Sasuke".

Well, there is the teacher and Mahoro from Mahoromatic. Although the whole teacher chasing after her student thing is kinda creepy, it does have funny moments.

There is also the rivalry of the 2 main girls in Princess Nine.

I'm sure I can come up with more, but I can't think well at the moment.

Of course, you could always do Sasuke vs. Naruto.

Ryoko and that purplehaired girl (Ayeka?) in all of the various Tenchi seasons. They fight over him constantly, violently at times, but usually in a comedic way. That's pretty much the point of the show - one geeky guy and a lot of hot girls swarming around him and fighting over him. Ryoko and Ayeka (?) are just the main rivals for his attention. I like Tenchi Universe best, but there might be better scenes in Muyo or one of the later seasons.

Fushigi Yuugi has some squabbling over guy scenes in it. If you ignore the fact that Nuriko is really a crossdressing guy (and not the pretty girl he appears to be) you could use him and Miaka fighting over Tamahome and (sort of) Hotohori. Then there's Yui wanting Tamahome for herself later on - not so much cat fight there, as unrequited love for the guy who fell for her best friend. If you're aiming for a serious vid, the Miaka vs. Yui over Tama angle would probably have enough footage for it. They're rivals for another reason, but the guy in the middle has a lot to do with it.

In the first season of Sailor Moon you have Rei and Usagi fighting over Momoru. Some comedic scenes there, but not really enough to make an entire vid about.

Chocolate and Tira are sisters fighting over Carrot in Sorcerer Hunters. It's practically the main theme in the show - he's chasing every hot girl except them while they're chasing him. It has some nice slapstick style bondage and s&m stuff - half naked girls in leather torturing the guy they're trying to woo. Funny and fanservicy with odd splashes of serious one-sided romance mixed in.

dozens of harem things have girls 'fighting' over boys (Ranma, ... whatever) but sometimes it's a more subtle more like trying to get the upper hand rather than really fighting.

I think that the best would be Sakura and Ino from Naruto. There's also Rei and Usagi from sailor moon. If that helps.
