Worth hearing..

Post by kingmob_867 » Sun Aug 13, 2006 12:32 pm

What's the last CD you heard that was worth hearing form begining to end. Bonus tracks don't count and singles don't count. It doesn't matter if it's a soundtrack to a movie or an album from the 1950's. It has to be an album that's awsome from begining to end.

I'll start: Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere
Seu Jorge - The Life Aquatic Studio Sessions
Nirvana - Nevermind
"Suicide carried off many. Drink, and the devil, took care of the rest."

Pain Of Salvation - Remedy Lane
Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory
Blind Guardian - A Night At The Opera
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime

Of which my favourite is the DT one... though I do usually skip a minute or so of Home.

3 Colours Red - Pure
Portishead - Dummy
Radiohead - Ok Computer

All 3 are from the 90’s and come from the uk.
3 Colours red would have to be my favourite, probable the best album I have heard in the last 10 years.

Generally... Those don't exist for me. Even if I like every song on a CD (example: Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime, Blind Guardian's Imaginations From The Other Side, Dream Theater's Images And Words), there's some that I like more than others that I will skip to.

Ummm, let see...

Matthew Good Band- Beautiful Midnight & Audio of Being

Other than the singles they've played before they were broken up, the rest of the tracks were pretty damn good from start to finish for both cds...in my opinion. 8-)
A.k.a- "The Anime>Observer" 8-)
The Lone Anime Ranger...off duty

*sigh*..."It's not easy being an Anime Fan."

My vote goes to "Redeemer" by Machinae Supremacy. Starts out fast and loud and ends flat out epically (if that's a word). Extremley good!

I agree. That's why I only listen beginning-to-end when they're theme albums like Dream Theater's Scenes From a Memory or Blind Guardian's Nightfall on Middle Earth. The only exception would be Iron Maiden's Somewhere in Time. I just love it.
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

Every CD I listen to, I listen to all the way. I almost never skip songs. If I can't listen to every song, I don't listen to the album. There's enough awesome music out there for me to listen all the way through each album that I do listen to. But it's usually the progressive metal/rock concept albums that completely suck me in, like Pain of Salvation does. Currently, though, my favorite Pain of Salvation album is not Remedy Lane, but Entropia.
