You dont have to worry about the audio. You should actually take it out of the WMM timeline right before you make a DV-AVI movie. When you go to compress the vid in V-dub you simply add the audio there AND COMPRESS IT so you can avoid those audio problems caused when WMM encodes the movie.

Can you edit the audio when it's in Vdub? cuz I have insterted a 1 second gap at the beginning of the video in WMM.

Yes, you can. There's an option in VDub that allows you to offset the audio by however much you need it. You'll have to play around to get the exact value, but it's not too tough.

Streams --> Stream list --> (right click on the audio stream) Interleaving

The "audio skew correction" is what you want, and it explains how to use it right below the option.
