I'm by no means a new comer to the site but when it actually comes to making AMVs I'm a newb by far. Earlier in the year I made my first attemt at an AMV and although I personally wasn't too much for it, I uploaded it for those who might (It has Aizen from grenadier

The other one I put on here is one I'd like opinions on as I took it a little more seriously and hard worked out the kinks in my movie making program. It's an action video using the song "Kiru" from Samurai 7, to basilisk.
I thought it'd be a good idea to put Basilisk to something fast paced but fitting of the genre. The reception of it hasn't been too bad (3.39 star avg) but I'd like to know how to improve on my future ones. I know that there are occasional slips in video footage where something might go on a split second too long and reveal subs but I couldn't seem to edit that out.
I'd in particular like to know any opinions of the use of attacks in timing with a beat. I know it's commonplace to use a black flash or something of that sort but is the attack a suitable replacement or should it only be used in moderation? I thank you for any suggestions you can offer and hopefully they'll help me on my next AMV attempt.
