Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Your video worked fine. As for everything else...

I felt it could've been more interesting if you used more footage and timed more scene transitions to some of the beats. Especially in the first peace you used.

Secondly, for future amv's, you might want to work on changing the format and footage quality of your amv. Changing the format from .wmv to .avi can get you more people to give your amv a chance. Especially when your using "overused" footage. I know it sounds dumb, but trust me on that. Programs like TMPGEnc and Virtualdub could really help you out with that.

And improving the footage quality makes your amv better for obvious reasons. I know your using windows movie maker, but even WMM can produce decent quality footage if you know what your doing.

There's an faq to help you out with the previous 2 points I mentioned here:

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. Luckily I have TMPGnc 2.0 so I'm in business with that. Will convert to AVI in the future.

I left an op for you, I would not save my movies as avi they would be way too big even compressed, I can save wmv no matter what editor I use, so that does not mean you used wmm just because your file is wmv, if I was going to use another format besides wmv it would probably be mpeg as people are less likely to steal mpegs and I can not see how you could get a full length music video in avi format under 100 mb's without having bad quality, but maybe it's just the software I use, which includes virtual dub, but anyways I only have one video uploaded that is downlable, and yes its wmv :P

My biggest suggestion with this is not to show people talking when you can not hear anything being said, but that is a pet peave of mine, and be more inventive not use so much of the game sounds in sequence, mix it up a bit more, and make sure the sound picks up when the action does

O_o It's rather easy, compress your audio, and do an XviD compression, it looks fine, and isn't that big. Have you not downloaded anything from here? 95% of the videos are under 100megs cuz thats the site rules, the only things over it are insanely long amv's or MEPs. And .avi is a container, not a format.

Yes but most of the videos I have downloaded from here are either wmv or mpeg, have not seen avi yet, and container/format you know what I mean. I already use mp3 for audio how much more compressed are we talking and I don't like xvid :P

To stay on topic your movie was overall pretty good.
