...and where does it say you will be banned without warning for it?

Because the rule i'm talking about has it right afterwards. And it's the only time that THOSE WORDS ARE EVER USED. :?

Dunno. But the stuff he doesn't want linked, I'd think he wouldn't want it on his site either.

You know what might stop that? Actually bannign peopel like the forum rules say will happen. The go the SA route and replace their sig with big red letters saying why they got banned.

Then how about we ban users that use downloaded footage? That way, all the good editors will be gone. How about that huh?
There go 89% of all videos.

But I agree, it says that you will be banned for asking on the forums, yet nothing happens.

And understand, a code of ethics is totally diferent than a codified set of laws. Especially a law with a clearly defined punishment right there afterwards. Now sence what you're suggested is an ethical standard and not a stated rule, law, etc. it's completely unrelated.

If it's total bullshit, it should be removed, but if any of the rules are to be taken seriously, they should all be enforced. Or at the very least, the consequence should be removed - because it's a total bluff.

It appears you don't get banned for a first offence. This is probably a good policy since only 1 in 10,000 newbs ever read the rules (I did, it really helped) and we would lose lots of them that way.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Come and join us on the tiny but fun forum at http://www.allanime.org

it's not newbs that use downloaded footage(ok i know they do but you're not getting the point), it's elites.. sources for at least half of the videos on the top ten percent use downloaded footage. Truth.
