Wait does this mean there are "passes" or "tickets" this year like AX? Uh oh perhaps I should've pestered my friends who entered to submit a request -_-;;hackerzc wrote:Those who contacted me about seating for the contest should expect an email from me (using the email address you sent your request with) some time in the next week or two with directions where and when to pickup your passes.
If you submitted this year and have not contacted me already, then I am sorry but the cutoff date for seating was July 14th (this past Friday). If anyone sent me a message and did not get a reply confirming you and your guests please contact me A.S.A.P.

The only thing required for admittance is a con badge.dwchang wrote:Wait does this mean there are "passes" or "tickets" this year like AX? These "PASSES" were made available (upon request) to everyone who submitted content to the contest this year (either competing or non-competing).
The Pass will allow the holder early access to the room, and access to the reserved seating we have setup.

Well crap. So I get back from vacation and discover
a) my video made the finals (yay), but
b) I missed the deadline for getting a pass to the reserved section
That's what I get for not keeping up with the mailing list I guess.
This new policy seems a bit harsh, considering that submitters have always been given reserved seating in the past without so much formality. Is there not anything that can be done for us laggarts? Please?

And the reason we are doing it this way is so that 1) the seats actually EXIST, and 2) Spec Ops does not give you guys a hard time for trying to get in the room.
I'll make exceptions for people in the finals... I just don't want to be adding 30 more peopel betwene now and the con (especially since I already submitted the #of seats I need), but a couple more won't hurt.
same for you Black, just email me.
