My fiance, Rider4Z on here, also entered a couple vids. It's our first real time entering videos with decent equipment to work with. We should have our top 28 tomorrow or thursday.
The 28 finalists will be announced on monday the 26th and no later than the 27th.

Good luck everyone! :)

Aw, they said it would be 'tuesday the 21st'! (Which is odd, because thewre IS no Tuesday the 21st this month, but guess it doesn't matter.) Oi, I'm so nervous, this is my first contest I have ever entered (AMV wise). I enteded five, now if at least one can get in I'll be happy ^^;

Maybe five was overdoing it.

Took me 5 years to make the finals, and it's my local convention. Ofcourse the year I make the finals, I didn't attend. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for this year. I really like my 'action' video I made, and it's not your typical 'action' video so I may have a chance.

I tend to be on and off with the AX finalists. I'll make it one year, I won't make it the next, I make it again, etc.. :roll:

I'm much the same, some years I get a video into the finals, other years I don't.

Let's see, took me about three years I think and I was in the finals the year after as well. So right now I've been in the finals two times as of recent, I'm hoping one of my three videos makes it in this year, I personally think this was my most well rounded group of videos entered into the contest.

Agh, i'm confused. You need a ticket to get into the AMV contest room? I heard you got two tickets if you were a finalist, so is that JUST for the contest or for the whole convention? Darn it, why can't they make this simple?!

And must they tourture me by not posting the finalists? :(

Yes, the AMV contest is a ticketed event. They don't charge for the tickets, but since its a high demand event, there simply isn't enough seating for everyone to get in.

Tickets for the events become available the morning of the event.

If you entered the contest, you get 2 tickets for the AMV contest.

If you're staying in one of the main hotels, you get a voucher for a ticket for one of the big events.

Otherwise you're waiting in line for tickets the morning of the event you want to attend.
