Odd noise in my test video- is this normal?

Post by Dagda » Tue May 30, 2006 2:33 am

So I've finished my first amv, and I'm running through the process to upload it; downloaded Filezilla, succesfully got the file onto the server, etc., etc. I downloaded the test video and watched it, and here's where I run into the problem. The video quality is fine, but a little over halfway through the video (at 2:27) there's this odd little beep noise.
-It's not in the video I used to do the upload, I double-checked just to be sure.
-I didn't do anything odd with the audio file at that point in the movie, it's in the middle of the song.
-I canceled the upload and tried again; once again, there's the same noise at the same point.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? It's a Windows Media Audio/Video file.

Are you playing them both (the one on your computer, and the one you downloaded) in the same player?

Yes, Windows Media Player 10.

At this point I'm inclined to just upload the thing as is; it's just one noise, it doesn't detract too much from the final product. If I later determine the cause of the error and get it fixed, it will be possible to replace it, right? Like switching in a remastered version of a video?
