TLO Presents: Fullmetal Hell (Best Comedy, AnimeBoston 2006)
A little over 3 months ago, I saw the FMA movie, and the seeds of chaos were borne.
A little over 72 hours ago, this video premiered at Anime Boston 2006.
Now, it's yours for the downloading, in glorious XviD and H264 formats.
Much love to JCD & Kalium for the encoding help, JMS for the hosting space, kiarrens for beta-ing the vid, and the <strike>sheep</strike> fans at Anime Boston for helping me triumph in the Comedy category this year.

ZOMG SUBTEXT
That was awesome. Very clean and the consistency of source actually helped it; by far the most polished of "hells", with humor that's at least subtle in some places, as opposed to shameless shamelessness all over.
Well done!

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Of the entire video, three segments got next to no reaction at the con:Otohiko wrote: with humor that's at least subtle in some places
-Snakes on a Plane (I heard that this was as a result of the audio not coming out as cleanly in Main Events)
-Hitler/Girlfriend (...well, <i>I</i> thought it was funny...)
-Dune (because nobody in the audience is old enough to have remembered it.
Thanks for the comments!

Congratulations. You've officially broke my brain.
LOL, I love it.
How in the hell did Snakes on a Plane not get an audience reaction? Blasphamey. Mothafuckin' blasphamey!

Panel A (which is where the Friday Night screening was held) had a good bit of echo, and given that the audio source isn't clean to begin with I'm not surprised.Ladymercury wrote:How in the hell did Snakes on a Plane not get an audience reaction? Blasphamey. Mothafuckin' blasphamey!
I've already had a couple people, upon downloading it, tell me "ooooh, so THAT'S what that was."

Odd. I thought those were pretty darn good - maybe I am growing old. The use of Hitler certainly had the right effect on me, when did Nazis stop being funny, anyway?dokool wrote: Of the entire video, three segments got next to no reaction at the con:

The hitler/girlfriend concept itself didn't strike me as that funny, but just National Socialism does. The dune segment gets a LOT better when you realize its spice and not skies.
