The .org's early days
http://web.archive.org/web/200105151958 ... ideos.org/
I go bored, so I checked the Internet Archive for animemusicvideos.org. This is their earliest entry. Primative to say the least. Kinda interesting to see it's origins
(I put this in Site Feedback because I don't think it would fit anywhere else)

Yes, some of us still remember when the site looked like that... And when the forum looked like this http://web.archive.org/web/200106040224 ... rg/phorum/
I feel old...

Man... I had almost forgotten that the site once looked like that. The current design is so much better.
And the Phorum... I didn't spend much time there, but I do remember it. I believe it was also a beast to moderate, if I'm remembering correctly why it got replaced. I don't remember if I ever posted anything there; does anyone know if the data was saved when Phorum got dropped in favor of PHPbb?
Looking in the old AMV Announcements forums, I have to say it's amusing to see Nightowl's posting a "Newbie here" thread with his first three vids.

Hello! I'm a newbie here, so I thought I'd just throw this out and try to get some opinions from everyone. Please view my videos! I know they're big, but I'm dying for some feedback, as they're my first efforts. All three showed up at Animazement (only two were screened), and the FLCL vid even got Best Technical Achievement. Please check em out!

I think it's funny how the amv scene hasn't changed.
I mean, just browse the posts in the 'general' section. Like the one about the 'best amvs right now' - see how many listed are still named today:
http://web.archive.org/web/200107110122 ... 721&t=1721
I wish they'd archived more of those threads. Comparing them to the exact same thread topics we see today would be funny. So much for the good ole days, huh? ;p
