Aw crap, I'm making a kingdom hearts music vid, insight plz

Oh yeah, whats wrong with asking for new features on my first day back. Most people on here don't have a whopping 75 posts in their years of being here. If they don't make use of the forums they have nothing to complain about, I really plan on being a part of this community for a while and want to make the most out of it.

Look at yourself, basher, you kno full well that the same people whore on the forums, you, requiett....

no no, there will be a picture in my sig.... it actually gets attention! in the hour or so the sig was there my vid got like 20 hits... sure there were other factors, but that was a spike in hits, so I won't discount its effectiveness, but I really do want to conform to the standards here. sometimes the best way is actually doing it wrong to get the attention.

What? Then stop doing it wrong and if you have an AMV annoucement, just post it in the annoucement thread, and if you want opinions, post in the opinions thread.

Why bring problems on to yourself? :/

the purpose of this thread, and the other now locked one like it was to an idea of what people did or did not want to see ever again.

in the opinion thread people are just whoring for indepth opinions on their vid that they can see in their profile. this entire site is a dysfunctional community.

The ORG is a site for cataloging of AMVs and gathering of editors. It sets no level of artistic expression, nor should it.

I agree, despite the ruckus I may cause on the forums I treat this site very seriously, so much as to direct people to my profile here in my resume. (I'm really into video editing and effects, dont even kno why i mentioned that here)

Its a great idea but just looking at the history of things the bar of quality has been raised (even though the top 10 list is also dysfunctional) and people want to see something new.

People's AMVs are great w/ their friends... You only experience animosity if you come to the forums LOL.

if the org is "disfunctional" then its because PEOPLE are disfunctional
(I'm not saying the admins, I'm talking about its users)
this site runs alot on the "honor system" that it seems alot of people take advantage of..

point in case: make what you want to make, its your video, its your hobby, its what you like to do...

just because there are a million and a half DBZ videos listed on this site (thats not counting the ones not listed) that doesnt mean that if you make a new one that it wont be original to SOMEONE...

if you want to make a Kingdom Hearts AMV make one, if you want to make a FullMetal Alchemist amv make one, if you want to make another Evangelion AMV make one, Advent Children AMV? dooooo it!

the thing is you gotta ask yourself: are you doing this because you love editing and anime? or are you doing this to "win the popular vote"

truth be told, I perfer amvs that have heart to them, and you can see when someone really loves the show they chose, if its nothing but clear quality and cold effects it gets borring... (at least to me)

in the end make what you want to make... who cares if its overused? people will more than likely still watch.

Wouldn't the overkill list be this one?

I don't see why people shouldn't make a video just because a bunch of other people got to the source first. Apart from that, new songs are being written all the time. If the potential for a good [insert title here] video is to be found in something released long after [insert title here], then why waste the opportunity?

People want something new? Perfectly fine. They can make it themselves.
