  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.

What we really need right now... another Eva vid

Post by Melanchthon » Sun May 14, 2006 10:25 pm

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=116934

Artist: Angie Aparo
Song: Hush

It was an original song when I started editing. :?

There's more info in the vid description, but I'm really not very good at describing my own work. Anyway, enjoy.

You know, for all its expected Eva-ness and linearity, I must say that this one stood out to me like a conventional Eva video hasn't in a while! It could be the excellent technical quality and sync, or just plain appropriateness.

Any Eva fan shouldn't be ashamed to add this to their collection. And since I can't find anything substantial to complain about here, I give it a 5. :)

PS - might be a little presumptious of me, but is the sync on "waste" just coincidentally the same as the key scene in my Eva AMV...?
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

...Maybe. I used that scene based on the DVD commentary that points out that the sunset and day shots are of the same lake (you can see the telephone poles in the shots as well), but your video was one of the first I saw and one that particularly impressed me. So yes, that particular shot has probably been close to the surface of my mind.

Believe it or not, I haven't forgotten about the op I promised you. I still haven't found a satisfactory method for writing anop on it. :?

Wow, just watched it. I must say its refreshing to see a good Eva video again! However I did notice some interlacing issues. I'm assuming its since PAL footage is a pain to work with. Awesome work ^_^!
