...SO IT WASN'T AN AMV (give it a name)

Well guys , after those opinions at "IS THIS AN AMV?" forum i only could get these conclusions:

1st one : this was really a god question for mods , according to forum rules, but i didn't wanna a mod opinion!!! rules are clear "http://www.animemusicvideos.org/help/" . I needed a public opinion, an universal one.

2nd one : the polemic AMV is this:

....like someone says "Warhammer40 is British" and another says... "must be anime or something inspired on it".
i'm OK with those opinions and rules are clear!!! but i still don´t know how tha hell call to the video above!!
....according to the opinions given in this point i can asume these things:
- "Warhammer40 is Brit" and what about DBZ/metallica amv's?? ... is Metallica something inspired on animeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Chrono Trigger/Linkin Parkkkkk??????!!!!!! SAILOR MOON/YSTEM OF THE DOWN????!!!... .....therefore is was warhammer dark omen and no 40k, the second one of the saga from 1997, ufff.. plus Diablo game scenes and warriors of might & magic.. no one is relative to anime.

3rd one : an amv supports 3d images an you all are right, that video isn't an amv... but then what name must it have??

option1 - AAMV = american animation movie/music video
option2 - CMV = comics music/movie video
option3 - OMV = occidental music/movie video

......the rest is for you... give it a /&%&# name please!! and then maybe i could convince the mods for open a new category on this.

There's a LJ community for this called "vidding" I believe. It has been the standard responce for non-amv community questions here for a while.

What's the thing about pointing out DBZ and SailorMoon videos? Why are you asking about Metallica? Unless the person made a video out of live-action footage of metallica, that's just the music used in the video. The first word in amv represents the footage, not the audio. It doesn't matter what nationality the song is - it's still music and as long as it's attached to anime footage, it's still an anime music video.

They're also called "fanvids" in some places, short for fan-made video, I guess.

Also, lead paint is bad for you.

If it uses something from a game, even non-engine cut scenes, I tend to refer to them as "GMV"
