I don't completely agree with you there. In the new video I'm working on there is a lot of symbolism most people probably won't grasp. It was intentionally not made to hit you in the face though. Does that mean the video will fail just because I'm not holding your hand and explaining each scene? I don't think so...Mad_Cyric wrote:If your video doesn't make sense without you explaining it verbally, you've failed.

Nub here.
I have to say that I don't really care how many or few hours it takes ( I expect my first effort to take 1 month of 4 hours a night, I have no doubt someone doing this for years can knock out quality work in a few hours) I care about how GOOD the AMV is in terms of material, synch and adherence to theme. If it's great in all areas, it's still 4-5 stars regardless of wether it took a month of blood, sweat and tears or an hour of sleepwalking.

I do LOVE it when ppl do things differently.RajinAsian wrote:Funny, I was thinking this the other day. I know my first video took me about 3 days of near constant work. But my most rescent cliche Final Fantasy Video took me more time selecting the song than it did to take the video really. I find myself spending more time on the ending of my video than actually cutting, splicing, and transitioning scenes.
I think people are slightly led to a dissapointed and envious feeling when they find out that what takes them a long time people get it done faster.
