Motown Project (interest gauge)

For those who don't know what Motown is, a history is visible here:

The basic idea comes from previous projects like the DDR projects and a CD I was given last year by an artist named Michael McDonald, who believe it or not is a white guy who can sing Motown, and he sings it well! The songs on the two CD set are covers of Motown songs from the 1960s and 70s, and while with a few bits of political commentary are primarily romantic, ranging from only a piano for accompaniment to unbeat gospel style. I'll post a link to a small sample of music once it's ready.

Edit 2 Song times are not limited to the above listed, it depends on the number involved and video content.
Edit 3 Not only Michael McDonald can be included. Original songs are allowed if audio quality is good.

Anime used would be primarily romantic based, but it has potential for branching out into other genres. At the moment it looks like tracks would be about a minute to a minute and a half.

I think this would be a fun project and homage to a very influential music style. I'd be interested to hear if anyone would like to participate and ideas they may have. Thanks!

not a bad idea, but it aint for me. im sure alot of girls will sign up to do romance vids, so give it sometime yet ^^

Great! I'm going to put more information up as time comes, including a new sound sample with more variety on it.

And it doesn't have to be romance. A few songs (such as "Mercy Mercy Me" and "What's Going on" by Marvin Gaye originally) are about what was happening in the 1970s politically and socially. And I put my IM info up top if anyone wants to talk live with me.
