Elfen Lied - Crush/Gore Obsessed

Finished my first AMV ever today.
It´s also the first time for me using video editing software so I hope the result is bearable... ^^
Took me ~4 around hours to make the video. (including extraction of the video streams...)

Used the 1st Elfen Lied episode when Lucy breaks out... AMV title: "Crush/Gore Obsessed" (I little hint to what you can expect...<<)

BGM lyrics (not always fitting):

The BGM is quite aggressive (Death Metal/Grind) and with mainly mid tempo doublebass so I think it was a bit difficult to cut the scenes properly...

Uhm ... a small question: Why did you compress it in wmv if you weren't even using WMM ?

The avi export of that program was somewhat troublesome.I didn´t get the video quality I wanted... :/
So I tried WMV,got good results and sticked with it.

sry I know that MAC and Linux user have problems playing WMV but I couldn´t help it.

Will you forgive me? T.T

Any comments regarding the AMV itself?

Ok, actually I expected something else. Normally WMV looks totally shitty but in this case the quality was outstanding (for WMV) so I guess you did the right things in the encoding options but I'd always prefer xvid/h264. Basically the video is just the curtainraiser + good music I expected a bit more form the editing since you have a nice catchy song which would have been good for strobes/stopmotion. It's not what I'd call a real music video cause you didn't really sync anything but I rather enjoyed it anyway which makes no sense at all.

its the blood and gore that gets u, not the lack of sync or effects

Yeah sry for the lack of editing and effects... <<

I´m still discovering the program and its functions so I´m anxious of "overdoing" it. (Ich hoffe du verstehst was ich meine...^^)

But I´m happy to hear that you enjoyed it.I think there´s some lack of AMVs with extreme music like Death Metal.
Already watched some of your AMVs and they are fucking awesome!

Great video quality and music choice, but other than that, a meaningless collage of clips (save for 1 or 2 moments where some actual conscious editing effort can be seen).

Don't give up, get better, and make some good metal vids. There's always place for more of them, but you don't do one on 4 hours.

Hehe, yeah normally you should use up to 100 hours or even more.

But don't even think of useing other music
