Last Call for Tora-Con Submissions *please help*
:EDIT:
I got a massive responce from the AMV community, and i can't thank you all enough. I now have over 20 entries and the list is growing daily. I have entries from around the globe and the support you've shown me is awsome.
With that being said.
We are still accepting vidoes. I have 3 full hours and right now i only have 2 hours of videos. So keep submitting!
Hi,
I'm the director for the Tora-Con amv compition. The powers at be have said that they will be unable to allocate space or time for a compition if i don't get enough submissions for the contest. Its a week and a half to deadline and I do not have enough submissions, and despreatly need more.
Its my first time running one, as well as this cons so if this tanks, its likly that there won't be a second chance for the compition.
I will now be accepting submissions via AIM, in order to facilitate those of you who are lazy, or don't feel like submitting via snail mail. My school rules forbid me from using a FTP server, so AIM is the best i can do.
My aim is SunajSlayerDaven, and i have this account on auto accept for files.
Just send the entry form (you can fill it out on your computer), and your video, with the same name.
the entry form and rules can be found here.

Please name your files VideoName.avi and VideoName.doc, so that i can know whos is whos.
PLEASE help me out...
i'm on my hands and knees begging you.

the deadline is April 1st, but the schedualing is being done the week after next so if it doesn't look like i'll have enough they won't schedual it.
I manged to get the con chair to allow the videos to have no experation date, so if you made a video 2 years ago and it hasn't won anything you can still submit it, if you want.

you can send up to 3 submissions to help make the quota, however only one will be considered for judging, the others will be screened in the contest though. So just make it clear which one you want judged.HorrorPhD wrote:I seem to remember something about a limit as to how many vids could be entered as well as shown/considered? Is this still the case since there are a low number of entries? If not, I can send you 2-3 to help make the quota...otherwise, I'll just send the one that I want considered.
If (i wish) we get an over abundance of submissions, the ones that you sent to be screened will be left unused but the video for judging will still be counted.
again this is my pulling strings to um... yea make sure i get enough so submissions.

i'll live. the 2 seconds is just a bumper if its a little short its ok.jade_eyed_angel wrote:Fun, I'll enter. But how flexible is the two secs of black before/after video rule? I have a few mpegs but I think they're only at one sec of black or so and I don't really want to re-encode them?
