Nope, I get it totally. I love that sort of synch, be it vocal or instrumental-- it shows that a lot of attention was paid to the audio and video sources.
A couple of vids you might like... don't know how many of them you've seen, as I picked up most of them off forum links.
Shining Collection, which has everything but the kitchen synch.
Dry The Rain, which loosely follows the vocals but is more of a mood piece. I particularly like the part about two minutes in, where the change in the instrumental intensity is marked by a change from day to sunset footage.
Asuka's Wonderland. I might be a little biased towards this vid as it was the one that persuaded me to get the rest of the Eva DVDs. It's mostly driven by the strings, but the mood synch is skewed toward the vocals. The 'stand in the night with a silver sword' line was the first thing thing that sprang to mind when I started writing my first reply, but I wanted to check that was what you were after first.
Give It Up For Lord Canti, which is similar to Shining Collection in its synch methods but seems to follow the instrumentals more (which are in synch with the vocals anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter...).
Bachelorette. I'm not sure whether this is really vocal synch or if the vocals just happened to be along for the ride, but it gave me that 'wow' feeling when I watched it and it still does now. Like the clip you just linked to (is the rest of the vid available? It looks good), the editing is fluid and doesn't rely on any one particular kind of synchronisation.
I can't think of any vids that rely on vocal synch as most of the vids around here rely on beat synch and the like, but I don't usually seek out music that lends itself to vocal synch.
