How do you find videos to download?

When I'm looking for a vid to watch, I usually know what sort of vid I'm looking for. First I'll check my favorite editors to see if they've used the anime/concept, and then I'll go to the super search. I might use the Recommend forum eventually, but the super search has more options. I tend to search by anime, category, and description (for character-specific vids) - sorted by star score or ops depending on the genre. If I'm working on a vid to a new song, I might search to see if anyone's used it before, but I don't download the videos. I've never used the song search to find vids to watch. I used the top 10 once to find actiony effect vids that were really original according to the editor reviews - love the various filters, but it took too long to check all the results for anime I recognized.
I get recs, too, and feedback requests, but those aren't vids I found or looked for.

I get random impulses to look up songs or artists - sometimes anime series, if there aren't many videos to it. I use NVOTB once in a great while if a title doesn't sound lame.
Then if the video description makes it sound interesting and not too "lol i put this 2gether in 1 hrs it took so so so so so long lol", I'll try it out. But then, I have a fastish connection and a lot of space, and don't mind giving random things a shot.
Sometimes the announcement forum, too.
