People, do we really need a confession? We *know* she didn't make them, she knows it. She knows we know. And she don't care. I'm surprised she removed videos though. Was it us? Or something else?

I think the videos were taken down by her...

Maybe because she had nightmares of us haunting her... :D

If you go to the person's profile and scroll to the bottom, you can report someone for misconduct. If she gets enough complaints... Has she been asked to take them down yet?

The Saffire girl has removed *almost* all the vids. Looks like she's still hanging on to "Gotta Get Through This" (yu-gi-oh) by DragonKaiba. I've told her, she said she would "cange" it, and it now disavows any claim to ownership, but it hasn't been taken down. I don't know if DragonKaiba's okay with that. DragonKaiba's other vid Saffire stole was taken down. Is Saffire just playing with us? As far as I know, it's the only other stolen vid from a-m-v.org. She claims she actually made the others, but as far as we know, they could be stolen from other websites.

Even if you don't own the copyright to the song / anime, you can still post complaints to the administration becasue you do, as far as i've understood (and argued to them to successfully remove at least 10 videos), own rights to the work which you created by the act of ACTUALLY MAKING THEM.

However, If enough people flag a video it will be taken down regardless of what the comment fields say. Do you actually think the site reads all of the flag requests? It's most likely just a number of flags = deletion algorythm that's checked every so often.

But what about the people who post videos, but give the credit to the right people? I've found quite a few people on the site that have done just that, myself included. One of the videos I posted was my favorite video, but it's banned on the Org because it has an Evanescence song in it. Hopefully it'll gain the video some recognition, while gaining Y-o-u-T-u-b-e a few lawsuits.

You realize they'd prob. just get a similar C&D suit like the org did, to which they will prob. pull the vids...

Sorry, but putting stuff up their just to get 'em sued is
a) Not as easy as it sounds
and
b) Really kind of cheap.

Unless you have the editor's permission, you have no right to distribute their work like that. Think about this: you may get them into to shit because of your actions. Their making of the video is legal (the whole ripping dvds notwithstanding), your distribution of it is not. By selectivly redusing their exposure by choosing to not put their vido on a site like that, they're decresing the chance they'll "get in trouble." When someone else puts their video up on a site like youtub, they're increasing the danger to the creator against his/her will.
