sugestion: more features in super search
I just want to ask if its possible to add more features to the super search. For example a "negative" searching feature:
I am really annoyed of always getting "sailor moon" or "final fantasy" in the results and would like to be able to ignore certain animes, musicial artists or songs. I know that it would also be possible to find amvs without this feature by scrolling to ALL the results but that's really boring.
Maybe it could be possible to add this or even other searching features like searching for amvs by a list of serveral animes/musicial artists/songs. (I think that is already in the 'to do' list)
Would it be possible to at least add these suggestions to the 'to do' list?

Just checked that - it does work with artists. So, it's probably good on all the other parameters too.Arigatomina wrote:To ignore certain things, you can put a negative sign in front of them - like searching for anime with "-sailor" in there should ignore anything with 'sailor' in the anime name. I think it works the same for artists.
This is used in many search features / search engines; it's a good thing to know, out there in internetland.

Yeah, Thanks.
I know that searching engines mostly have this kind of features. And i have to admit that i wasn't sure if this engine has sth. like that because it seemed quite simple to me. So I didn't want to try things out and find that out on my own because nearly every searching engine has its own spelling rules for these features.

This would only be effective duration information could be reliably extracted for most videos, which is not yet possible. I do not believe it ever worked on Windows Media video files, nor did it ever work for advanced containers such as Matroska and MP4. Finally, it would only really work for local files, if you cannot trust users to enter accurate data. (Well, at any rate, I don't trust users to do anything right. Maybe that's why I don't design UIs.)x_rex30 wrote:Please, someone add a search by Duration feature!
Anyway, going through my own videos, it looks like the video information data extraction system is totally broken anyway, so.
