That's been my experience too, which is why I normally don't download from other sites (but in all fairness, this site has plenty of bad videos too), but occasionally some decent videos do turn up there. Either way, the link I provided takes you right to the download page, so there's no need to look around.

Anyway, as for other game videos, I just downloaded Tales by Yorae, and thought that it was very good.
Final Doom "Amazing things will happen here soon."

To the people above my first post: downloaded and watched all your videos. They're great. ^^
I gave all the necessary videos stars, a few QCs, and nominated one for Best horror video.. Congrats to "Silence"! I was beginning to think horror videos would never be made that weren't just about gore instead of scaring you. XP
Wanted to nominate Fantastical for so manyt hings, but it appears the creator isn't on the .org. Oh well. ;_;

I don't usually participate in VCA at all(I've Disqualified myself since the huge rule change) so nominating one video and actually voting is a big deal for me. =p

People below my first post: I'm in the process of downloading them all, but after seeing the first few I won't doubt they're good, too. Can't wait to show these. ^^
So many more horror/gore videos than planned, though. XD Will have to dedicate an hour or so for just that. TWC is contived of 90% 18+(or really.. moreso.. 30+) aged people, but some do bring their kids in XP Ample warnings about gore and freakiness ahoy this year. XD

Quiet Cannon: Yeah, but all the other sites somehow make finding the good ones hard. When I was on gamemusicvideos.com (doesn't exist anymore) they had a pretty awesome awesome setup. That was the only GMV site I really liked. It seems like the other sites either encourage people to download their sources, or simply don't really take editing seriously, or both.

And then there's the case of adventchildren.net, where they simply didn't understand what the word "edit" meant. "What? synch to music? I was just throwing clips in!" D:

Automatic music video button in Windows Movie Maker = true, folks. "storyboard" function and drag clips in.. It does it all for you. D:

I have a bunch of ps1 gmv's I made a couple years ago. I think they are still pretty good, but the resolution on them is 352x240. If thats cool I can put them up somewhere for you. I've have ones for Xenogears, Silent Hill, Koudelka and Fear Effect.

Let me know.

You have a video to Koudelka? You are my hero.

Anyway, resolution I don't think should be too much of a problem; I believe we had a lot of videos with that res last year and it was fine.

As long as you can make out marginally of the shape of what's goin on, I'd say it's alright. So far only two or three videos have been cut from the playlist(not from this thread), because they either were really bad editing-wise or just way too blocky(or both, in one case).

So sure, I mean, the final judgement is what it looks like full screen in WMP since us being the ghetto con hookup we are, is what we're using. =p

Sounds good. Yeah I think psx cutscenes are just that resolution because thats what my rippers always bring them down at. I wasn't using avisynth or filters then but I the quality should still be good enough. I'll let you know when I get them up.

Alrighty. downloaded and watched them all. Everyone should keep an eye on "Tales" - Best MAD-influence and Special effects use EVAR. ;p

As for everyone else, some videos were deleted off the potential playlist for various reasons.
- invasive logos
- "not really a music video" / too short

Only 4 videos were taken out. two from two different people.
For the logo ones, I'm not really "ARR YOUR VIDEO SUCKS 'CAUSE YOU USED DOWNLOADED FOOTAGE ARR" It's more of a concern since I don't want gamespot and 1up to be all "Hey.. Wait a second."
We had the same problem with Bandai last year, so I'm just playing it safe, there.

The not really a video / too short deals were simply because I don't thinkt he audience would "Get" it. Sorry.

As for all the other videos: Awesome. Keep them coming. =)
