I said "only". AMVs that include scenes from non-anime sources are fine as long as the video is still predominantly anime.shinodude wrote:then how come family guy/futurama are listed?Scintilla wrote:The Clone Wars series is not anime, therefore you can't list videos here that have only that series as a source.

I meant that if a video uses mostly anime sources, it's fine. For example, my "The NERV Evening News with Dan Rather" uses almost all Neon Genesis Evangelion, except for one shot that is from Monty Python and the Holy Grail (though I didn't list it as a source because I figured it was too insignificant to deserve mentioning).shinodude wrote:so if I get my family guy dvds and rip them onto my comp I can use them in an amv? im not plaining on doing this but iv always wonderd.... and what does predominantly mean?Scintilla wrote:I said "only". Making a whole video from Family Guy would not be considered an AMV for this site's purposes (which is why Pie Row Maniac's "Quahog Combat" had to be removed when they actually started enforcing the non-AMV rules; same thing went for a video made by a friend of mine from four of the six Star Wars movies). But throwing a few scenes of Family Guy into a video that was otherwise full of anime sources would be fine.
