I think my editing skills have improved a little - at least, in comparison to the videos I made last year. I'm still a total amateur, but I'm feeling more confident, and I'm having more fun experimenting with effects and what not. I've submitted a couple of my videos to contests, but I wasn't able to attend any - so it didn't really mean anything. I did, however, join a couple multi-editor projects for fun.

Not much for personal stuff - I finished my first year at college, turned 19 (still haven't gone bar-hopping with my girlfriends yet >< ), and have been working graveyard shifts for about a month now (joy). I've also spent WAY too much money on anime DVD's this year - my collection has tripled, at least.

Hopefully sometime in early 2006, I'll have finished the project I'm working on with my sisters :P

This year I've posted on this forum 1970 times.

Next year I might actually make an amv.

Looking back, I did my first batch of AMVs, but only 3 are worth watching IMO. I also learned that once you loose interest in a video idea you've been working on, from that point, the video won't be as good. That about does it, heres to a pwnworthy 2006!

I won an award I totally did not deserve and was completely stunned by it.

I started my own podcast for OSTs(see journal).

I put my real name in my profile and abuse my AMV making skillzo0rs for scholarships.

That's pretty much it. XD

Well, I started making AMVs in 2005^^ I've made 3 AMVs by now.
I took part in a contest with my second AMV.
I've took part in an Iron Chef and made my first Hentai AMV^^
Also I was at two Conventions^^
And I became a member of the German AMV community, where I've found the most precious person for me (and that's definately the best thing that happend^^).

As for 2006 I'm planning on making more AMVs, and starting to work with Premiere and submit in some contests.
Maybe I'll even animate something by my own for a video.
And I want to take part in a MEP for the first time^^

I've seen better days. But then a whole lot of people saw worse in 2005.

Praise the Lord for another year and another chance to do better!

End the year with a little fun, http://www.jibjab.com/Movies/ClickThrou ... tentid=123

Hope 2006 is a better year for everyone!

hmm..2005..

Between school, hitting a brick wall editing-wise, then my comp deciding it was time to pass on, I didn't finish or release any video's in 2005, nor did I attend any conventions since I was too broke.

In 2006, I plan on re-entering the AMV scene, finishing up some vids I've had on hold, graduating from college in May, and hopefully making it to AWA this year.

Well my year was great in most belongings.

1: Started making amvs

2: Finished the first one and sent it to a con

3: Finished my second one sent it to the expo of the con

4: Won the drama-cathegory of the con with my 1st vid

5: Built a shity third video

6: Taking part in a MEP

Well 2006. I'm almost done with my MEP part and about to concentrate on personal vids again, but school is stressful, I have to think of a concept for a no-longer than 3 min video and have to built it. Furthermore I'm going to create a Rolling Stones video to a track from their new album, gonna get difficult though. And have to defeat my 1st rank on connichi.

Okay guys, you all have my best wishes for success in 2006.

you mean defend ?

What did 2005 mean to me ?

I worked on to instmental Character profiles which weren't meant to be anything special but still they became my most popular videos (god knows why). I entered the german AMV scene and thus I traveled to Almelo alongside JCD ;) (which was one of the best days of the year, meeting Niotex and stuff). Then I begann working on Artificial Imagery which was a big disappointment at Connichi 2005. Then my next ode to Dark Tranquillity which is my best stand alone video ever, and it's also quite successful, for a metalvideo. Then JCD talked me into Ayumix and Requiett into Alternate Dimensions, and after getting a proper view into the MEPs I started one myself .... Hm seems like I did alot focusing on amvs this year altough most of it (like the whole MEP thing) is still in the making. But the most important thing were surely the connections and friends I made within the scene during this year.
