audio from anime

Post by beau kang » Tue Nov 29, 2005 6:14 pm

I'm trying to get some of the original sound from the anime in my video for more of a dramatic effect. I have avisynth and virtualdub and everything that was in VicBond's tutorial. I've been able to do this in the past, but I haven't been able to replicate my actions. Can someone help me with this?

Use the normal VDub and set audio to Source Audio. Now you should be able to capture the sound. Or just export the audio to WAV or whatever other setting you have. That's what i usually do.

Do you mean the version of VirtualDub that's before 1.6.10? And how do you export to wav? I've never done that before.

(god I feel like such a noob).

I use the normal VirtualDub for this, not the VirtualDubMod that was included in the AMVApp, then i load the AVS file. In VirtualDub you can select in the Audio section to use the Source Audio. Then export the video.
Or go to File and select Save Wav, and it will save the Wav of your selected section.

You can do this in any VDub version, the one i use is the 1.6.11

I'm still not getting it to go right. Is there something special that I need to do in DVD2AVI before I save the d2v file?

Hmmm... alright. It's been a while since i've done this, and it seems my old method doesn't work anymore.

I have figured it out however.

Load your file into VDubMod. Go to streamselection. Load the AC3 streams from your dvdrip and then capture it. That should work, since i know have the opening theme from Hyper Police on my harddrive. :P

Sorry, should have been more specific.

Go to Streams, then to Streamlist. Add a stream, and then choose your AC3 files. CHoose the section you want to have the audio from. Export to AVI. Then load it into your editor and import only the audio.
