Final Doom

Well, it's been a while since I've come out with a new video. I haven't had much time to edit, but finally I come out with yet another trailer video (I really need to try something different next time). Anyway, when I saw the trailer for Doom 3, I thought it would be a good match with Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Best Trailer: Anime USA
Final Doom "Amazing things will happen here soon."

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Substance "Everyone knows that it's a dangerous substance."

cool... lip sync was odd on a few of them... but thats understandable. the audio also sounded washed out and soft. other then that, it was enjoyable, nice job.

Cool, even though I haven't seen the movie nor the trailer. The only thing that isn't right here is the action synch with the various gunfight scenes you edited. Spirits Within's scenes were visually all too relaxed, peaceful and slow-paced to match with the audio's tempo. The modern rock playing in the background with strong sound effects is in conflict, when Spirits Within presents you with rather sluggish characters with minimal feelings.

Otherwise a solid piece of work done here.

Thanks for the comments.

The lip sync presented me with a lot of problems and I knew that I wouldn't be able to get everything to match perfectly, although there were a few clips that seemed to fall in place quite easily. I also had a few failed attempts at audio editing, including trying to increase the volume, but when I did that the result came out sounding scratched, so I eventually left the original unmodified audio.

I know the movie isn't some kind of hard core action film, but it did have some action scenes that I though would fit in this video. I guess this may not be the best trailer for portraying the movie, but I was more focused on using the movie clips to portray the game. Either way, once that rock music started playing, all the story and character development went out the window and I mainly focused on matching up the sound effects from the trailer while trying to be consistent with things that might be seen in the game. I was actually running out of different gunfire scenes when I was trying to finish this.
