Although in distant past we used Pinnacle 8 (never used wwm), but we prefered Premiere since there is so much more you can do with that.

What "we"? Not everyone uses it. I personally use Ulead Videostudio 9 (usually). Think of it as WMM loaded up on steroids.

anyway, back on topic - I don't think there is 'one' suitable answer for this question. Many use Adobe Premiere / Pro, but as stated above, there are a wide variety of editors that 'we' all at the org use. Some use Windows Movie Maker (and there are some who can make a great AMV with it too), some use Sony Vegas, and I use Magix Movie Edit Pro 10.

So, it's basically what you can afford, and what you'll feel comfortable using. Take a look at the sticky post here for further information.
