Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Godix
Well Godix, seeing all the time and effort put into that burn it shows me you care! Coming from you and going on the rule that "you always horribly insult the ons you love" [see Dedicated to my wife] I'll take it as a compliment
Thanks good buddy

Are you implying I love my wife? That's slander, untrue, and a cruel cruel lie. You take that back or I shall be forced to challenge you to a fight. I choose Premiere as the weapon. We'll face off in town square and may the fastest renderer win. I'll put a lens flare right between your eyes before you can even get past the splash screen. Asshole.

ha! thanks

as for the footage I can't remember where exactly I got it, but I just googled "George Bush Footage" orginally looking for him saying "America" so I could lip synch it, but found that clip instead which I think works better.

To be honest I found it amusing, but not to the edge of making me laugh. The song was hyped a bit too much when it first came out, so by now it has lost most of it's shine. I never did find it too comedic anyway.
The only thing that bothers me is that anime music videos using Azumanga Daioh are most of the time almost forced to use scenes that are visually funny. We have seen the anime and some scenes are just plain hilarious even with no audio playing in the background. It doesn't take much effort to find those scenes and you can freely add pretty much anything to the audio to make it funny.
It would also seem that masking and overlaying is the newest and most-used trend in anime music videos of today. Your achievement, Fall_Child42, in this area was well done and even came with a good twist. I personally have seen too many videos over-using these methods, but a different, good theme can make the needed difference.

hmm... I can't help but wonder if people just love to call everything overused around here... Masking and overlaying is just a type of edit, to do what you want with your video. Its like saying cuts and fades were the most used trend in amvs of yesterday. While they can be used inapropriately, I don;t think it will ever get old or overused in that we groan whenever we see it in any video. not the same way that effects can be overused anyway. Masking and overlaying is sometimes nessisary in order to adapt the footage we are using to tell the story we want. Its just that until recently with the improvement of editing software, it was either not possible, or very hard to accomplish. It'd probably be more apropriate to say misused, not overused.Esrhan wrote: It would also seem that masking and overlaying is the newest and most-used trend in anime music videos of today.
