Dark... Depressing... Violent... Fruits Basket
This is from a jaunt through the forums and running across this post in the "AMV Suggestions" forum.
Yeah, Souma Akito is a sick little bastard.

Okay, that was cool.
I definitely liked how you didn't feel constrained by the lyrics (though pairing the bridge with Hatori was just so WRONG), and I liked the black flash cuts you brought in in the bridge and the fast sequence on the buildup into the last chorus, and I liked how each verse mostly focused on just one other character.
Very moody and atmospheric in a good way. One thing I don't particularly care for was what looked like a fair deal of repeated footage in the first half or so, but Akito doesn't exactly get the most screen time in the world, so that's forgivable. I was also hoping to see some more Tohru; I figured her an obvious choice for the "always hoping that you'll end this reign" lines.
But overall, a nice video and I approve. What makes it even more impressive is that you got the idea from AMV Suggestions, coupled with the low turnaround time.

Aiiiiii! I love this song to pieces. Along with devious ideas. *gets* *watches*
...wow. It might be partly because I just read book 11 and am in that mood, but man, that really is a good song for him. Actually, I always thought the lyrics of this song were symbolic, or at least drew odd images that were more meant to evoke a mood than something literal... so that didn't bother me a bit.
ooh. I got chills a few times. Thanks for making this, it's awesome.

Well, I mean, yeah, he was probably the best one to go there and you kept with the style, but it's like, putting Hatori with the line "with his eyes torn out" would be rather funny in a twisted kind of way out of context, you know? I'm not really complaining so much as... well, I'm not really complaining.jubjub2 wrote:Gee.... lol... I was saying it tongue in cheek. I wish we could type the way we speak! Voice inflection is everything!Scintilla wrote:Well, I mean, yeah, he was probably the best one to go there and you kept with the style, but it's like, putting Hatori with the line "with his eyes torn out" would be rather funny in a twisted kind of way out of context, you know?
