based on gohans age, it's 46 since Goku is already 12 when the show starts so that 6 years plus the beginning.

when Gohan was getting his ass kicked by Super Buu, what simple thing could he have done to beat him but it wasn't done and now makes him look stupider than his glasses.

I'm gonna go with an even fifty, because according to VegettoEX, finding the dragonballs and the Bebe Saga together make up about 2 years. so you have 2 years there. Add in the ten years that's popularly believed between DBZ's end and DBGT's beginning (which makes sense - Pan's apparently a teenager, though probably only 14) and you have 12. Going back from there, from the end of DBZ to the beginning of the Buu Saga is ten years, so now we're up to 22. Add in the timeline in Daizenshuu, which is 17 years, and you're up to 39. Add five to that between DB and DBZ, and you get 44. Now add in the final six, from when Gokuu was 12 to when he was 18 at the end of Dragonball, and that's a grand total of 50.
So from the first episode of Dragonball to the end of Dragonball GT, fifty years pass; which, if you're counting correctly, puts Gokuu at 57 years old at the end of DBGT (take 50 years plus his 12 years originally, subtract the 1 year he was dead the first time, then the 6 years the second time, plus the 2 years he was in the Room of Spirit and Time, and you get a grand total of 12-7+2+50=57).

Getting away from the age thingy, I've got an intersting one.
This concerns only the canon of Dragonball Z. We'll forget that DBGT exists for this equation, because GT wasn't written by Toriyama in any way, and thus sohuldn't be considered "dogmatic," only that which exists in Dragonball Z.
Now, based literally on what was said by Kaio-shin concerning Majin Buu's power, approximately what was his true power at Kid Buu stage - his full power of which Kaio-shin spoke? (If nobody gets this, I've got a list of basically everybody's PL based on this info that I'll be happy to list). Remember, DBGT's power levels have to bearing on this question, because only that which was written by Toriyama or approved of by him for DBZ is True Dogma, not what a group of half-assed writers came up with after-the-fact.

The "power levels" listed in the daizenshuu are generally considered one of the few items *not* to flat-out accept, because they're so inconsistent. There's a *reason* Toriyama-sensei got rid of them post-Freeza. They make no sense, and are impossible to accurately and appropriate keep up with.

And for the record, the man himself had more involvement in DBGT than you think.

Goku was 12 at the beginning of Dragonball. 2 years later when he first participated in the World Martial Arts Tournament, he was 14.

No, he wasn't. I remember when Goku and Krillin first made their appearances at the Martial Arts Tournament. I remember the tournament announcer asking how old they were and Goku said "12" and Krillin said "13". I remember because Krillin was suprised Goku was younger than him.

I could have sworn Goku said "14" at the tournament. But I know for a fact that he wasn't 14 when he met Bulma.
