DBZ IS AND FOREVER WILL BE THE GREATEST ANIME OF ALL TIME! it has the best story line action you name it.

no other anime can capture the same sense of action, drama, suspense, comedy... and bonified perspective of human life. (save gt) i love the show to death. hab and always will.

tru dbz fan for life.

Spiffy, please tell me you were joking. Please.
Yeah GT made no sence mainly because remember at the end of the buu saga what does vegeta wish for everyone EXCEPT evils to be wished alive, but what the hell is pilaf doing at the begining of GT if he wants to take over the world which is a evil thing to do! There is 2 explanations 1) forgot about the wish and made the mistake or 2) pilaf was crap at being evil so he lived
Or he just didn't die. :/

DUDE do you not remember the human extinction attack? buu used this attack to kill everyone on earth!!!! ofcourse pilaf died!!!

witch' takes us back to the original Q' why the hell was he in GT.

maybe AT- just thought he was a good character so he brought him back to the show because GT was a long way from DB' so maybe he was just trying to teach an old dog new tricks so he brought basck Pilaf to livin' up the place

Oh yeah... That chocolate thing. I kinda wiped that from my mind. The sheer stupidity of it overwhelmed me. Hmm.

DBZ was essentially my childhood from ages 9-14, I freakin LOVED that show. As fate would have it, though, I eventually grew out of it, but it still holds a special place in my heart (hence me keeping this name even though I'm now 19 and haven't watched the show in years).

I always thought it would be interesting to see a redone version, though, one with modernized animation and less filler crap/episode delays/marketing bullshit.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I used to like it, but got tired of it after a while.

I still love DBZ. It was one of the first animes I ever saw so even though I have a wide arrange of anime now, it will always be one of my top favorites. I love how they are re-releasing the unedited versions of the episodes Pioneer did and maby others.
I've been gone for around 2 years and will be making a come back.

<rumor control>

Pioneer had absolutely nothing to do with the production of the first two seasons, nevermind their level of editing. Pioneer was nothing more than the distributer for home video / DVD of the episodes that had already aired on TV in syndication. Anything you want to say about those particular episodes can be completely directed towards FUNimation, and also their syndication distributer, Saban.

Also, the rest of the series is already released uncut on DVD, which is the whole purpose of going back and re-releasing these episodes (to get them consistent with the rest of the series). And since there's never been anything close to an actual "unedited" English dub...

This is one of the greatest, amazingly, grossly innaccurate statements I've ever had the pleasure of reading relating to DragonBall in my lifetime.

Somehow I doubt that Toriyama's son, something like five years old at the time, suddenly whipped up major storylines for an animated series.
