Well, will there be a way that members who want to download an AMV can see the quick comments in the video description? Like you can see the opinions when you click on "more opinion info".

Hey,
Kusoyaro wrote:Just curious, is there a max size for the New Quick Comments box? And how long will the comments stay in that box before they disappear? My queue is filling up quickly, and I'm just wondering if I will miss any if, say, I don't check the site for a few days.
Technically the max size is really really big, but you can only have it on one line. The comments will stay in the box until you either go to another page or close your browser. The comments are sent at the same time as the star rating. This is currently the only time you can leave the comments.

Currently, no. This may change in the future as the system becomes more popular (hopefully).

I hope this helps.

Phade: I think collaborators aren't able to view the quick comments. Could you confirm this?

I've gotten quick comments for DDR3. So if you haven't seen those, then take that as confirmation :P
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Collaborators currently cannot view comments. This may change in the future.

Only thing I would change is to allow the star average to be displayed as well.

This is great, since I usually don't have much to say. Sorry.

Suggestion: Might want to put 'annonymous' in the announcement so people know the creator has no idea who they are. I've gotten a few comments from the same person (writing style) and she seems to think I can see who she is on the site. Until a person gets one, they won't realize they're annonymous.

How many comments can you get before they start disappearing off the member page?

I'm assuming it's 10, but since we don't have a link to them outside the member page, you might want to increase that considerably. People download vids a lot faster than they review (and they're likely to do comments as fast as they download once they realize the option is there). Once the comments are linked to the vids, this won't matter, though.

I'd actually kinda like it if nobody but the creator could see the comments I make. We already have opinions and star scores for the "read this to see if you want to download it" factor, and it's kind of nice to have a personal commenting feature. Knowing that everyone and his dog are going to read my comment would dissuade me from commenting.
